Static-X with American Headcharge, Bloodsimple, and Ten Years at the House of Blues on July 18th, 2005 in Cleveland, Ohio
I must say, Static-X kicked major amounts of a** last night at Cleveland's HOB! The other bands were ok (not counting 10 years), but the show really came alive when Static-X took the stage! Once they came on, the entire floor became the pit, and it was a great time! Someone yelled up to Wayne towards the middle of their performance that they had to stop the show so he could find his shoe. Wayne commented that it must be a "gold-plated shoe," while Tony gave him directions to a shoe store down the street
.
Afterwards, I got to meet Tony, but the other guys weren't around. Tony says hes glad to be back on the road instead of being bored at home ^_^. He was also kind enough to get a picture with me and my brother (my ONLY picture of the nite, I'm afraid
d**n house of blues for banning cameras...), and to also sign a print of the flaming static-x logo I had made (see pic below).

My flaming static-x print Tony signed. And just for the hell of it, my ticket below that.

Static-X with Ill Nino and Opiate for the Masses at The Cellar on December 2nd, 2005 in Struthers, Ohio
First of all, the show kicked A**! And I'm not exaggerating!!! The show was a complete sell-out. Not all of my pics came out though, but they're not too bad. Me being an idiot, forgot to turn on the flash on the camera until my LAST pic. I was pleased that any came out half-way decent. I have pics of all 3 bands there.
After getting lost (thanks a lot, mapquest...) my 2 friends and I finally found the place a few minutes before the show started, and met up with my bro and his girlfriend. He surprised me by wearing his hair spiky and also wearing a black hooters shirt
. If you knew him, you would know its weird for him to do ANYTHING even slightly unusual with his hair, or wear anything black.
Anyways, us five got in and worked our way through the crowd as close to the stage as possible. (For those of you who were there, we were near a pole on the left of the stage). Opiate for the Masses hit the stage and did a great job. I've never listened to their stuff before, but they really got involved with the audience and put on a good show.
Then Ill Nino hit the stage, and you could tell a lot of people came just for them. A guy to the right of my looked like he just got out of a psych ward with how it looked like he was trying to break his neck. I shoved him off of me and into some other guys who were laughing and started shoving him around. I was pleased Ill Nino played 2 songs I actually knew by them, the ones from the Freddy VS Jason and Resident Evil soundtracks. By the end of their run, they were quite literally sweating up a storm, and I don't blame them. GREAT PERFORMANCE.
Then, it was the main event. The stage went dark, and we saw Nick going around to the drums. We then heard the familiar crazy beginning to "I want to F****** Break it" as out stepped Koichi, and then Wayne and Tony! I had managed to sneak up into the second row by this time (in the break between SX and Il Nino) and was immediately immersed in a SECOND mosh pit of sorts that a bunch of guys who were determined to get close to the stage started. I quite literally got my a** kicked a few times, but I kept fighting to stay where I was. Elbowed a few guys pretty hard. Started getting pushed back when someone grabbed my arm and started pulling. I looked back to see my brother trying to pull me back, looking concerned. I yelled "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Pulled his arm off, and immediately leaped back into the fray
. The guys had a pretty good setlist, one that really pleased me was "Anything But This" with all the vocals done by Tony. I've always loved that song. And of course, during shots Wayne thanked their bass player "Rick James." (Tony wore a shirt that said I'm Rick James B**CH). And tony proceeded to yell it through the mic.
(These next few are a bit blurry, sorry!)
(Wayne forms the X with his hands while Koichi throws out the horns on his left)
(Wayne takes a shot onstage)
At the end of the show, I tried to get one of nick's drumsticks he threw, but a group of people leaped all over them and were too quick for me. Wayne surprisingly left with 4 pics still on his mic stand. The guys who were cleaning up threw 2 of them, and I just stood there staring. My bro comes up asking "What are you doing?" I pointed at the mic stand and said there were 2 left. I asked a stage guy if we could have them, and he gave me one, and one fo my friends the other. That about made my night. Though I was disappointed as the guy bringing the SX merch had his car break down on him and wouldn't be showing up, so no merch! :(
(2 scans I did of the lovely pic I got ahold of)
After walking out of the club, we walked around back and found SX's bus, along with about 5 or so fellow fans. Tony came by and said hi, but seemed in a hurry of some sort and headed back to the building, so I didn't have him sign anything. We were first informed by one of SX's people that they were showering, and they'd be out in a little while. Later, they said they were changing and they'd be out in just a minute. Then, Wayne was on the phone and they didn't know if he would be out. My 2 friends were freezing and decided to leave (it was 20 to 16 degrees out that night. COOOOOOLD). But me, my bro, and his GF stuck around. Talked with some other fans that were really cool. Finally, we were pleased when Koichi came out to hang with us. He told me he plans on sticking with the band, which made me happy
.
Me and Koichi! I felt so tall next to him
(and there is something on the photo that makes me look like my eyebrow is pierced...lol).

Didn't get home to about 4:45 in the morning. Slept in till 2:45, which is bad for me. Though all in all, an AMAZING night! Can't wait to see them again! Hopefully I'll get to meet Wayne and Nick next time!
Here is the setlist for Static-X from that night as close as I can remember it:

Static-X with Otep and Invitro at The House of Blues on May 10th, 2007 in Cleveland, Ohio
My third Static-X show so far was back where I saw them the first time - at the House of Blues in downtown Cleveland. I arrived late with my boyfriend and saw the very end of Invitro. While there, I met up with a fellow fan who I had talked to on the Sheikah Static myspace group named Todd. While the policy at the House of Blues is that you cannot bring cameras in - he was able to through sources I will not reveal. So thanks to him, we have pictures from the show! Which kicked major amounts of a**, by the way!
Please remember that the following pictures belong to my friend Todd, who took them. I am using them with his permission. DO NOT STEAL.
As I pointed out, first was Invitro - who had come onstage wearing foil masks of some sort, before they took them off later in the show. They weren't bad from what little I saw of them.

After Invitro, Otep was up. I was VERY impressed with this band, whose head is a woman (you don't see many ladies in this genre of music, so I always tip my hat to them). They rocked the stage and dedicated a song to the troops who are overseas due to our less than adequate president, who she thoroughly slammed. (Please do not flame my email or the site for the anti-Bush statement here. I'm only recounting what happened at the show, and these artists are free to say what they want. Not that I disagree with them on this particular issue). The lead woman (whose name escapes me) came out for nearly every song with a different hat on, and really mixed the show up. They were amazing.

Then it was time for the main event. Static-X entered to "Cannibal" and the crowd went wild. At a previous show, Nick had broken his hand, so there was a stand-in drummer whose name I never found out. Though Nick was still touring with the band and made sure he ran out onto the stage at one point. Static-X once more kicked the crap out of Cleveland, leaving with happy fans. There was even a tiny fan (a little girl probably about 5 years old) who was lifted up to the stage to shake Static-X's hands after they finished their set. She looked thrilled!

After buying merch, we went to the car to get my boyfriend's camera, then ventured back to wear the buses were parked and took our stand waiting for the band to come out. We waited at least a good hour or so, with some bum who kept passing us asking for change. We saw Tony go by and said hi, then Nick made an appearance. Finally, the king of evil disco himself stepped out of the bus wearing slippers (evil slippers), and greeted the fans. I can't tell you how cool it was.

Myself with Nick (Tonys in the background wearing a nametag that says "Hello, my name is none of your f***ing business."
Myself and the king of evil disco - Wayne Static!!
All in all - an amazing night! I have the set list for the night lying around somewhere, and the folder you see me holding in the above pictures has a signed photo of mine I will also scan in the future. Sadly, Koichi never came out. He was supposedly already asleep in the bus.
